- Passion-Driven Agency: Trading traditional lectures for real-world “student builder” Following our successful Middle School model—where students exercise substantive choice in their areas of inquiry—we believe that when students learn what they love, academic rigor follows as a natural byproduct of curiosity.
- Project Based Cross-Disciplinary Impact: Our four-year curriculum breaks down the walls between subjects to focus on real-world application. This culminates in the Grade 12 “Visionary Project,” a capstone requirement where students launch revenue-ready ventures, published research, or large-scale social impact campaigns.
- Holistic Portfolio-Based Profile: In today’s competitive landscape, a GPA is only one piece of the puzzle. DSHK students graduate with a tangible Proof of Work portfolio—including prototypes, startup metrics, and deep-dive research—designed specifically to meet the evolving recruitment criteria of top-tier global universities.
- Adaptive Character Leadership: We move beyond the classroom to cultivate resilience, ethical grit, and a growth mindset. Through navigating the real-world setbacks inherent in building ventures, students develop the human-core competencies—emotional intelligence and antifragility—required to lead with purpose.
“Jennifer and Connie are integral in our mission of re-designing the future of education in Hong Kong,” said Ms. Peggy Yeoh, Founding Director and Co-Chair of DSHK. “Their combined expertise in building systems and access ensures our first graduating cohorts are ready to thrive in their chosen paths, be it top universities, business initiatives or social ventures.
