Dalton School Hong Kong welcomed students and teachers from our sister school, Tsinghua University Primary School (TUPS), for an enriching full-day exchange on Tuesday, 9 September 2025. This visit deepened our ongoing partnership while creating authentic opportunities for cross-cultural learning.
The day began with a warm reception featuring a photo wall from our memorable 2023 Beijing visit, instantly connecting both communities through shared memories. During the welcoming ceremony, Principal Mr. Shaun and Director of High Quality Learning Dr. Ou highlighted the transformative power of educational partnerships. Students from both schools showcased their talents—DSHK’s Wushu team delivered a dynamic cultural performance, while TUPS students impressed with an innovative choral and drone presentation.
A standout moment was the inter-school Chinese debate, where students engaged in sophisticated discourse that demonstrated exceptional bilingual fluency and cultural sensitivity. Throughout the day, paired students participated in collaborative lessons across Chinese literature, Visual Arts, STEAM, and Performing Arts.
By the farewell ceremony, initial introductions had blossomed into genuine friendships. TUPS visitors expressed admiration for DSHK’s bilingual curriculum and project-based learning, while our students gained confidence and cultural awareness as hosts.
This exchange reaffirmed that shared educational values—particularly our commitment to Chinese cultural heritage and multilingual excellence—create powerful foundations for lasting partnerships. We extend our appreciation to all who made this transformative collaboration possible.
