Consulting Head of School
I have been a passionate champion of forward-thinking, futures-focused education for over 3 decades, on 3 different continents, and I feel immensely proud to have been part of DSHK’s journey from the very beginning. As a long-standing Board member and now Consulting Head of School, I am deeply committed to the school’s vision of nurturing independent, confident, and globally-minded learners through a dual-language, child-centred approach.
Throughout my career as an international school leader, I have always believed in the power of education to transform lives. I have led schools in the UK and Australia, and I now work with schools and education systems around the world to help them grow, adapt, and lead with purpose. I bring this global perspective to DSHK, along with a deep respect for the local context and a belief that young people in Hong Kong deserve access to the very best in progressive, future-facing education.
My role at DSHK is to support the school’s leadership team, guide strategic development, and help ensure that every student experiences the richness of a true Dalton education. This is a special school - innovative, inclusive, and values-driven - and it is a privilege to work with such a strong team to help shape its continuing story.

I am proud to serve as the Glocal Stream Head Consultant at Dalton School Hong Kong (DSHK), leveraging extensive experience in education, including a significant tenure in leadership roles. After retiring as the principal of a subsidised primary school, I spent several years supporting more than 50 schools and helped a private school achieve its mission before it closed. My active involvement in educational organisations, such as the Hong Kong Principals' Institute and the Subsidised Primary Schools Council, has enriched my professional career. Additionally, mentoring newly appointed principals demonstrates my commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders.
My mission here is to ensure that DSHK complies with educational regulations and adheres to best practices in governance. I facilitate the establishment of professional teacher teams to foster synergy, enhance teaching effectiveness, and ensure that students' potential is fully realised.

DSHK is a homegrown institution built for the 21st century. We nurture young minds to grow into individuals empowered to thrive in an ever-changing world.
What makes DSHK truly exceptional is its unwavering commitment to honoring each student’s individuality and fostering a genuine love for learning. The school’s emphasis on personalized instruction encourages students to explore their passions and develop critical thinking skills. Witnessing their growth and transformation as they discover their unique abilities continues to be a profound source of inspiration for me.
With our Stubbs Road campus now fully established, we are ready to move upwards and beyond. As we plan for the development of our high school, we are taking the next step toward becoming a comprehensive all-through institution, spanning kindergarten, primary, and secondary education.
As COO, my team is dedicated to ensuring that the school’s infrastructure remains strong, future-ready, and aligned with our long-term vision. We are equally committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all members of our Dalton community—where safeguarding the well-being of students and staff remains a top priority.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain proud of our diverse faculty, our dynamic student body, and our mission to make the progressive Dalton Plan accessible to an increasingly inclusive community.
I am honored to be part of DSHK’s journey as we continue to shape the future of education in Hong Kong.

Welcome to Dalton School Hong Kong! It is a privilege to work alongside such passionate educators, parents, board members, and students. After spending the past 20 years as an educator in North America, and most recently in Hong Kong, I am honored to serve the DSHK students and families.
I chose to leave New York City because DSHK offers a unique approach and philosophy that has the potential to transform the lives of its students, as well as the broader landscape of education across the world. Our founding board has crafted a powerful mission and vision, and it has assembled a diverse and talented team of educators to bring this transformation to life.
What makes DSHK so special? Through the Dalton plan and philosophy, students are the leaders, and it is our responsibility to trust their intelligence and build upon our students unlimited capacity. This alone allows us to dig deeper than standard curriculum allows and put human skills like creativity and empathy at the forefront. Additionally, DSHK recognizes the global dynamics of the world and uses a Dual Language model that gives students greater access to different people and cultures by valuing and developing bilingualism, biliteracy, high academic achievement, and socio-cultural competence. Furthermore, DSHK’s strong emphasis on Chinese culture and values ensures that our students will not only be leaders, but leaders with strong principles and compassion for others. Lastly, our child-centered approach provides each child with an individualized approach built upon strong relationships with adults and peers, an emphasis on developing the whole child, and a focus on engagement and rigor.
Our dedicated faculty and families, along with the founding board’s commitment to world class professional development, help DSHK realize this educational dream. It is with great hope and enthusiasm that we embark upon this transformational journey. I can’t wait to see where our students lead us next…

Welcome to Dalton School Hong Kong - L.E.A.D Services!
In 2019, the transformative L.E.A.D (Learn. Engage. Access. Develop) support services, which serves children with neurodiversity, was wholeheartedly welcomed and embraced by the entire DSHK community. This groundbreaking initiative has become a shining example of our school's unwavering commitment to inclusion and equitable access to education for all.
As the Director of the L.E.A.D Services, I am deeply dedicated to providing a truly comprehensive and inclusive educational experience for every single one of our students. This core mission is at the heart of our outstanding program, which I am incredibly honored to lead. With over 25 years of invaluable experience in the dynamic field of special education, I bring a wealth of specialized knowledge and expertise to our esteemed school community.
I chose to work at Dalton School Hong Kong because of its steadfast dedication to fostering a culture of acceptance, empowerment, and joy. DSHK's unique approach to education, centered on nurturing the whole child, resonates deeply with my own values and aspirations. The daily joys of my work come from witnessing the remarkable progress and growth of our students, as well as the strong partnerships I'm able to build with their families.
One of my favorite moments at DSHK was when a student, who had previously struggled with confidence and self-expression, created her own music video for her Discovery Project. From conceptualizing the storyboard, composing her own song, collaborating with her peers to perform in the video, choreographing their dance, and designing their costumes, she was involved in every aspect of the creative process. Seeing her pure joy and pride as her peers erupted in thunderous applause during the assembly was a truly heartwarming and humbling experience.
As we look to the future, my aspiration is for DSHK to continue leading the way in inclusive education, serving as a global model for how schools can unlock the boundless potential of neurodivergent learners. By cultivating a nurturing, supportive environment and strategically leveraging cutting-edge, research-backed practices, I am unwavering in my commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach the pinnacles of their full potential.
